One of greatest pleasure in life is eating pani puriPeople say marriage brings spice, tears, flavour, happiness and taste to life, personally, I believe PAANI PURI a better job at cheaper cost!!


I swear as i start writing this i am craving for paani puri!!
The amazing mixture of the tiny puri, aaloo mix with salt, spice and everything nice makes your mouth water !!
Out of hundreds of eateries which serve paani puri in Chennai ,we bring to you the list of places which serves the best paani puri.

1.  Gangotree



One of the most prominent place in Chennai, Gangotree is located in cathedral road, T Nagar, Express avenue mall and Adyar.
They serve all kind of chats but most recommended their “Paani Puri “. One of my personal favourite place to have paani puri. Their pani puri with mixture of spicy water and sweet water that burst into your mouth... Ahhhh the taste !! Price starts at  Rs. 50 per plate but why worry about the cost when the pani-puris are simply amazing? 

2. Kakada Ramprasad Chats and Sweets



The jewel amongst the chat shops at Sowcarpet, this all in one eatery is home to some of the most delicious chats in Chennai. It is always full no matter what time of the day it is. All thanks to the pani puri which is delicious to say the least. You can get a plate of pani puri for Rs.30. Its an amazing place for street food lovers! Their hot and piping jalebis are the best in Chennai , so juicy yet crisp and the flavour I tell you!!!

3.Ajnabee Sweets



What is life without a bit of rivalry? Located right opposite of King’s Vadapav, this eatery tries to one-up the rival by offering a gob smacking array of sweets and delicacies. The result of this rivalry though, is delicious pani puri. Costing Rs.30, this shop is sure to make your taste buds tingle.

4.Kailash Parbat



This pani-puri place is located at Harrington Road, Chetpet with an amazing ambiance and mind-blowing pani puris. A set of pani puri will cost you Rs. 75 but the quality overshadows the pricing! Try this place when your wallet feels heavy and your tummy feels light.

5.One Mb



Located in T.Nagar, One MB is more than just pani puri. You get an  assortment of chat items. The crowd favorite though is still the pani puri. The cost of all the amazing pani puri is just Rs.25.

6.Ganga Chats



Ganga Chats, located at Adyar, is another good place to have a mouthwatering chat. Although the provisions for seating is less, the good ambiance and decent hygiene makes it a good place to eat. The pani-puri here costs Rs.30 per plate.  

7. Chaat Corner



 Nungambakkam, the place where houses are  unique and posh restaurants on a higher note, has a chaat corner which is totally worth every paise. This place commonly know as Karishma Chaat is know for its Paani Puri.the pani puri here costs rs.30 per plate

8. Shree Mithai



 Another well-known place in Chennai, Shree Mithai is present in Chetpet and Anna Nagar and is on the top of the “must visit chat-joint checklist”. The place offers variety of chats for you to try but, not so surprisingly, Pani-Puri remains the all-time favorite. The hygiene of this place is spot-on and a plate of Pani-Puri would cost you Rs. 30.

 9. Rasoee


Whoever said that expensive food are the most tastiest has not visited Rasoee at Mint Street, Sowcarpet! Rasoee is famous for its pocket-friendly and tasty pastas and Pani-puri costs only 20 bucks.

1.BBQ Nation

Founded in 2006, pioneered the concept of live grill over the table BBQ concept, BBQ nation are known for their unlimited starters and taste. Very lively employees with a very friendly service, the booking is the hardest part, apart from starter they serve soup, main course and dessert on the buffet, they have live kulfi counter.
They serve both Veg and NON Veg, North Indian and Continental
Recommended food - Cajun Potato, Briyani, Kiwi Pastry
Opening - 12pm-3pm, 6.30pm to 10.30 pm
Buffet Cost - Rs.2000 for 2 (approx.)

2.Absolute BBQ

Ab's is chain with the concept pretty close to BBQ nation and Sigree. One of the booming restaurant in Chennai... Very difficult to get reservation, they have the live grill & BBQ, kebab, they serve North Indian, European, Mediterranean, know for its huge spread buffet, good service .
Opening 12pm-2.45pm,6.30pm-10pm
Buffet Cost - Rs.1600 for two people (approx.)

3.Madras pavilion - ITC Grand Chola

Madras pavilion offers buffet during breakfast, lunch and dinner with the best from all over the world. This luxury restaurant boasts of uniqueness in its diverse table settings with thematic zone like love seats, the crown, the high table and the private zone. They serve North Indian, Chinese, continental. Ofcource they maintain 5star service.

4.Annalakshmi :

Annalakshmi named after goddess of food is a restaurant serving vegetarian cuisine with love ! They serve North Indian and South Indian, very friendly service, athithi dhevo bhava means the guest is God, that is the concept behind the popular annalakshmi. Their chain veg restaurant was first opened in Malaysia in 1984 now has branches in Australia, Singapore and India.
Recommended food - Sevai Payasam, Paneer Palak, Mysore Masala dosa
Opening -12pm-3pm,7pm to 9.30 pm
Buffet Cost -1000 for two people (approx.)
Location - Rukmani Lakshmipathy road, next to Rani Meyyamai hall, Egmore.

5.Seasonal taste 

 

The Westin Chennai
The all day dining restaurant they serve North Indian, South Indian, Continental and European. They have excellent ambiance with great comfort and luxury.
